  • Your custom bike will be professionally built, tested, and then packed in an EVOC XL Bike Travel case (TSA-approved).

  • Minimal (15min) bike re-assembly required upon arrival.

  • Free phone and email post-sale support provided. We can even set up an appointment time, to walk you through the unpacking process.

INCORPORATION

RideFATbikes.ca is a cycling business specializing in custom frame-up builds of high-end MTB, GRAVEL and FAT Bikes.

Located in Burlington Ontario, RIDEFATBIKES.ca was incorporated in 2015, and conducts business across Canada and the USA.

LEADERSHIP GROUP

The leadership group of RIDEFATBIKES.ca are lifelong avid cyclists with backgrounds in I.T. Network Security, Project Management and Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering. Our team frequently tests new and innovative cycling components for several industry Partners and Manufacturers.

CUSTOM BIKE BUILDING

We offer an extensive custom bike building program that covers FAT, MTB and Gravel bikes, with over 85 component and accessory brands to choose from. Our business utilizes Industry knowledge of component testing, ASTM CAT strength and durability ratings, and proper rider fitment, to build the best possible bikes for a given budget. Our own Fat Bike Frame Geometry database has been updated each year (since 2015), and currently has over 650 frame entries, making it an excellent internal resource for finding the “best-fit” scenarios for each client’s specific needs.

INDUSTRY COMPONENT TESTING

The information gained through real-world testing of over 110 different makes/models of Fat Bikes (since 2015), allows RIDEFATBIKES.ca to further refine the design and build parameters for our state-of-the-art 4-season capable custom Fat Bikes.

We send our test results back to the manufacturers on many products, helping improve product performance, durability, and quality control.

  • RideFATbikes.ca does Independent Product Testing on the primary products used in our custom build process.

  • We are not a “pay-to-play” site, and do not run ads on our site.

As an example, please take a look at our long-term product review titled "2018 Fat Bike Suspension Fork Shootout".  It is about 40 pages long and includes comprehensive tests conducted over many months, on the leading fat bike suspension forks available in North America.

  • Only the products that pass all these tests, are brought into rotation into our inventory of salable items.

PROPER RIDER FITMENT

RideFATBikes.ca has been recording an extensive STACK and REACH fitment database for almost 6 years, cataloging the frame geometry designs of over 740 Fat Bike frames since before 2015. We have arguably, the largest Fat Bike Stack and Reach Database on the Internet, and was free to access up until Spring 2020. (It is now password protected). This database provides us an enormous benefit in properly sizing riders to their new bikes.

Upon bike delivery, many customers have instant smiles on their faces and cannot believe how well their new bike fits them! This is our goal, and why we are in business.

STACK AND REACH DATABASE

Having such a large STACK and REACH database at our hands, allows us to :

  • Forecast where the Industry trends are heading year-to-year

  • Develop proper rider fitment for each customer

  • Suggest particular frames that we know will perform ideally and be a best-fit for customers, and their riding/bio-metrics requirements.

  • Stay current with the latest technology designs and “modern” frame geometries.
