FAT BIKE SUSPENSION FORK SHOOTOUT
BLUTO RCT3 vs. WREN ATK vs. MANITOU MASTODON PRO
UPDATE for Winter 2023
RideFATbikes.ca has conducted suspension fork testing for all three versions of the Manitou Mastodon PRO (Gen1, Gen2 and Gen3). The following reviews are for the GEN1 and GEN2 versions, which use similar internals and the same fork casting, between the years of 2017-mid 2023.
In our next review, hopefully due out by Spring 2024, we will discuss the latest performance modifications and upgrades now available in the GEN3 version of the Mastodon PRO (released OCT 2023), that further increase the capability and performance of that winning fat bike suspension fork design.

LAUF CARBONARA
All-Season : XC / Light Duty
We spent 9 months performing an extended product review on the LAUF CARBONARA leaf-spring fork, on several Fat Bikes and during all 4 seasons. This was a very unique product at the time, and it took an extended amount of time, over several seasons, and terrain conditions to finally nail down our analysis of this suspension option.
